Objectives • Know what is meant by a “file extension”, and why some files cannot be opened by other applications • Understand the need to convert files for use, using QMC • Be able to use QMC to convert files into appropriate and usable file types, and begin to put movie project together.
Working with files • Windows Movie Maker works with the following file types: • Wmv (video) • Wma & wav (sound) • Quick Media Converter is a free tool for converting files ready for use.
Activity (15 mins) • Convert all your sound files to wma/wmv • Convert your Introduction to wmv • Save all these into your web safety folder WITH SENSIBLE NAMES
