  2. Elvis’ Big Break • Elvis’ first recording for Sun Records, That’s All Right” July 5th 1954 • Later that year, on the Louisiana Hayride, Elvis and the Blue Moon Boys appear on stage for the first time. • First TV appearance • Shy and polite?

  3. Fame • Elvis signs first contract with Colonel Tom Parker. • Sold to RCA Victor • Heartbreak Hotel, was Elvis’ first single for RCA. • Elvis signs his first movie contract • In late 1956 Elvis hires Jordanairs

  4. Hollywood • Elvis starred in movies with a lot of up and coming actors/actress’ Such as: Christina Crawford, Charles Bronson, Ed Asner, and Kurt Russell. • Elvis co-stared in Viva Las Vegas with a female actress named Ann Margret. She was nicknamed “the female Elvis” because of her sensual performing style. She was also a little more than a co-star.

  5. The Kings Personal Life • Elvis purchased Graceland • Elvis joins the army • He meets his future wife Priscilla Beaulieu • Elvis married Priscilla on May 1st 1967

  6. Elvis’ favorite snack was peanut butter and banana sandwiches Elvis was CRAZY about girls. He loved them figuratively and literally. Golf carting Horse riding Football with his buddies Elvis became fascinated with martial arts after he was introduced to hand to hand combat in the army Elvis’ Favorites

  7. Comeback After Elvis’ long string of movies, he missed live performances. And recorded his 68 Comeback Special. The Colonel signs a contract for multiple month long engagements in Las Vegas beginning in July of 1969.

  8. Aloha From Hawaii • Elvis preformed a concert at the Hawaii convention center. The concert was sent by via satellite around the world • Elvis was very generous to his fans. He would throw out thousand dollar rings, scarves, and expensive necklaces to the crowd. This was captured via satellite

  9. The King Has Left the Building • After his divorce with Priscilla. He chose prescription drugs to ease his pain • Elvis begins to go overboard with prescription drugs • Elvis dies August 16th 1977
