  1. Alopecia – Type Symptoms and Treatment Alopecia is the medical term for hair loss and this very common condition which affects as many as 80 percent of all males and about 50 percent of females at some point in their lives. It is hence no wonder that awareness in preventing alopecia and preempting alopecia symptoms are on the rise. There are many reasons for hair loss, but the main trigger is the overproduction of DHT. Types of Alopecia:- There are two main alopecia types which are essentially androgenic and Alopecia Areata. The former is hereditary in nature characterized by thinning and hair fall and are termed as pattern baldness in men and diffuse baldness in women. The hair loss is permanent but can be cured with the help of hair loss treatment in ayurveda. The latter types of hair loss looks patchy and can happen suddenly, attacking a weak immune system and hair follicles such that you experience hair fall. Male pattern balding is defined in the form of a U- shape rimming the top of the head right from behind both templates, leaving an entire top of the head bald. Female diffuse balding on the other hand, does not follow a pattern, but is an overall thinning of hair. There is no receding hairline in this condition. Living a holistic lifestyle can help alleviate the symptoms in terms of exercising and eating right, getting enough sleep and rest, only consuming alcohol and caffeine in moderation if you really have to and de-stressing with alternative approaches with Pilates and yoga and can try ayurvedic treatment also. If you are already experiencing early signs of alopecia symptoms whether genetically, aging, illnesses, or medication, you should be forewarned to review you lifestyle and habits. Excessive lifestyle habits like smoking, drinking, lack of rest, stress are key culprits to hair loss. If you are taking medication to counter certain illnesses, check with your personal physician is involved in preventing alopecia for alternative medication.
