Hastings Merit Badge FairNovember 5, 2011Hastings Middle School, Hastings MN • Guest Local Celebrity Merit Badge Counselors (Dave Ryan KDWB, Ken Urquhart Minnesota State Highway Patrol, Dan Drexler Minnesota Department of Transportation, and possibly a couple of Minnesota Twins Baseball players. • Over 40 merit badges will be offered and Scouts will have the opportunity to earn up to 3 merit badges that day, given that prerequisites are met. • Merit Badges that will be offered include but not limited to: Journalism, Athletics, All 3 Citizenships (2 classes each session), Environmental Science, Lifesaving, First Aid, Swimming, Law, Disabilities Awareness, Engineering, Safety, Traffic Safety, Radio, Weather, Fishing, Fly Fishing, Salesmanship, Crime Prevention, Fire Safety, Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Fingerprinting, Soil & Water Conservation, and more. • Onsite Eagle Scout project for group participation and explanation. • Cost per Scout is $20 and cost includes lunch and an event patch. • Look for more information and registration information in September. • Transportation to offsite locations will be provided free of charge.
