Piaget--Concrete Operations • Ages 7-10 • CANNOT understand abstract ideas. • Classifying objects: can handle 2 different characteristics • Put objects in series: largest to smallest • Extending relationships: relative relationships extend to another. Example– 3 is greater than 2 and greater than 1 • Conservation: same quantity/object even if you change how it is presented.
