VACANCY ASSISTANT/DEPUTY AREA TRAINING OFFICER • The Area Officer is looking to appoint a Assistant/Deputy Area Training Officer (AATO/DATO). • Assistant/Deputy Area Training Officer (A/DATO) • The A/DATO is appointed to assist and support the Area Training Officer in their duties. • This exciting role is open to Uniformed staff only who wish to raise their involvement in the Corps to the next level. You will have a wide range of experience and knowledge of the Corps together with excellent organisational ability, time management, communication skills both verbally and in writing and have a good knowledge of Westminster and the Cadet Training Programme. Discretion, tact and the ability to interact with members of the SCC at all levels is essential. • The successful applicant will (in conjunction with ATO):- be available to support Training Weekends & the Area Summer Camp • - Make site visits of venues/new venues, in support of Area Training. • - Provide support and advice to units and districts on Training and Course management. • - Remain up to date with Area and National Training policy and ensure that this is promulgated and understood within the Area. • - Administer (in conjunction with ATO) all Area Training and Westminster courses. • Represent the Area at National functions in absence of ATO • If you believe you have the skills and experience for the role above then we want to hear from you. • Applications by email to Area Office (AOM) by 20 October 2014 (all applicants should attach a CV with comments on your experience and what they can bring to the role.
