How to get CFP needs funded • Identify mitigation actions and projects at CFP Workshop and include in Action Plan • Large projects can be submitted as PMIS packages during service wide calls • Funding CFP actions • Project selection process depends on fund source • Green Book defines money available for projects and appropriate uses • Talk to Program Managers for more information

  4. Potential Sources of CFP Facility Funding • Base Funds • Daily Operational Activities • Equipment Replacement Fund • Examples include: generator replacement, two stroke engine replacement, equipment (computers) • Repair Rehab • Example projects include: renewable energy systems, solar hot water, HVAC replacement, insulation, utility upgrades, window replacement • Regular Cyclic Maintenance • Example projects include: roof replacement, lighting replacement, water conserving appliances

  5. Potential Sources of CFP Facility Funding • Recreation Fee Program • Example projects include: renewable energy systems, sustainable improvements to visitor space • Environmental Management Program Waste Reduction and Management • Example projects include: recycling and composting infrastructure, ISWAPs and other studies

  6. CPF Funding – New Facilities • Line Item Construction • Major construction and reconstruction projects • Examples include: New Lassen Volcanic Visitor Center (LEED Platinum), Mount Rainier Jackson Visitor Center • Pursue “net-zero” and Passive House design on future facilities

  8. Alternative Transportation and Vehicles • Transit in Parks Program • Alternative transportation programs and projects in parks. Example projects include: shuttle bus purchase, traffic reduction programs, transportation studies • GSA Leased Fleet • Primary source for alternative fuel and hybrid vehicles • Right Sizing Fleet • Park studies available for reference
