    Why a Barbecue Event?

    • We have members with expertise and interest:

      • Dr. George Smith organized the Heritage Barbecue Festival, made it a big success

        • Also has the equipment for smoking huge quantities

      • We have six sanctioned Kansas City judges

      • We hope for help from Mr. Jim Crumley

    • The area has no barbecue event anymore

    • Face it, barbecue is fun

    Do we do it
    Do we do it?

    • Tentatively, we planned Nov. 2&3

    • We need to know:

      • Will you support the event?

      • How will you support the event?

      • What should we call it?

        • Best name as judged by the committee wins a prize

      • If we get enough pledges of support, we will pursue making this the best barbecue competition in town!
