  4. Mistinguett most famous performer • Originator of “Ca c'est Paris," "la Revue Mistinguett," and "Paris qui tourne.“ These were some of themost famous shows at Moulin Rouge • Retired in 1924

  5. Moulin Rouge went from a dance hall to Operetta/grand shows back to dance hall over the years • Burned down in 1915, reopened 1921 • Can-cans, acts and evening dances returned under control of Georges France • First dinner show in 1959, still popular today

  6. Many know Moulin Rouge from the movie Moulin Rouge! • Large elephant in the Gardens is famous for the love song scene in the movie
