  2. Introduction Capitalism is an economic system that includes private ownership of the land, means of production, creation of goods or services for profit or income.Capitalism is a social , economic, environmental issue ,which needs to be addressed.

  3. In a nation of 1.2 billion, India’s 100 richest people own assets equivalent to one-fourth of the GDP. • The era of privatization of everything has made the Indian economy one of the fastest growing in the world.

India’s mega corporations-Tatas, Jindals, Essar ,Reliance-are those who have managed to muscle their way to the head of the line that is spewing money extracted from the deep inside the earth. • The other major source of corporate wealth comes from their land banks. All over the India ,weak ,corrupt local government have helped business corporations and Indian billionaires to amass huge tract of land.

  5. The millions of landless people driven from their villages, slums and shanty colonies in small town and mega cities, do not figure in the radical discourse.

  6. In India, the land millions of people is being acquired and made over to private corporations-for SEZ, infrastructure projects, dams, highways, car manufacturing, chemical hubs and formula one racing.
