  1. THE C- PROJECT Volunteer your way

  2. WHAT IS THE MEANING OF C-PROJECT? • C-Project stands for Chesed project • Chesed is the Hebrew word for loving- kindness • "The world is built with Chesed." (Psalms 89:3) • "Chesed is wonderful because when you do Chesed, our Rabbis tell us, you benefit too. You get something back.” • Chesed is a central Jewish value which leads to many Mitzvot. One of the best ways to fulfill this is by helping those in need.

  3. THE IDEA • Many young adults in our community have a similar wish: TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN PEOPLE’S LIVES. • Each person likes to volunteer in different ways. • Example: help the poor, the sick, the young and old. We all have our own way of sharing with the world. • The C- Project was created so that each individual can express their giving in their unique way and whatever they enjoy helping the most.

  4. FIND WHAT FULFILLS YOU … • We have now promoted over 10 different organizations that are in need of volunteers. Examples: • Chai Lifeline • WIZO • Tomchei Shabbos • Bikkur Cholim • Safra Women’s Group • Dror for the Wounded

  6. THE BUDGET In order to accomplish our desirable goal, we have put together the following budget which will allow us to attain the minimum cost while obtaining the highest result. • Headcount: In addition to the volunteers, we require a full time leader to manage the logistics of our project. Our plan requires careful valuable full time asset to our team for $1200.00. This will ensure that our community will get the best out of our efforts. • Weekly team expenditures: We plan to meet once a week in order to coordinate our activities and responsibilities. These meetings will have a cost of $150.00 per week or $600 per month. This part of the budget includes food, drinks, supplies to carry out our activities as well as transportation. • Activity Expenditures: Some of our activities include but are not limited to visiting sick children and older people that require assistance. Help low income families going through economic hardship. Our plan is to bring toys and gifts to sick children along with great company provided by our volunteers. Helping elders with errands, house fixings, and purchase basic necessities. In Addition, buy holiday souvenirs in order to bring more Judaism into their lives. We estimate an initial cost of $2,000. This brings our total C - Project budget to $3,800.00.
