  2. Description of Project Format: book (layered or regular) Titles required: • Project must be titled on cover • Each page/level must have a title • Name and class period present

  3. Review of Ecological Levels • Organism • Population • Community • Ecosystem • Biome (the one that is assigned) • Biosphere **Use Chapter 35-36 for reference

  4. Layout of Book – Level Pages • One page for each ecological level • Organism (must have one plant and one animal from biome) • Population (must have one plant population and one animal population different from organism level from biome) • Community • Ecosystem (biotic and abiotic components of biome) • Biome (description and facts about your biome) • Biosphere (definition and description)

  5. Layout of Book – Community Interactions Pages • To be placed after biome and before biosphere • One can be an example of predator-prey within your biome • The second page must be a symbiotic relationship that occurs in your biome. • Make sure organisms are labeled and that the interaction is described and defended as it is classified.

  6. Grading of Project • Organization/Neat: 1 point • All titles present – book and each page: 2 points • Content of organism, population, community, ecosystem levels • Definition of level - 1 point • Pictures/drawings with labels & descriptions – 2 points • Labels of biotic and abiotic – 1 point • Content of Biome • Definition – 1 point • Pictures/drawings with labels & descriptions – 2 points • Geographic location & Climate - 2 points • Content of Biosphere Level • Definition and picture/drawing – 2 points • Interactions Pages • Picture/Drawing – 1 point • Labels and description of interaction – 2 points • Citations Present on each page – 2 points • Color/Creative: at least 3 used – 1 point
