  3. “GQE" for 9th, 10th & 11th Grades • Eng/LA is the English 10 ECA • Math is the Algebra I ECA • Will take Biology I ECA for No Child Left Behind Accountability • Retest window early Dec. • Regular test window early May

  4. Additional information • Diploma waiver process will remain the same • Remediation for Algebra I & English 10 evenings from 3:00 to 5:00 pm • Monday- Algebra • Tuesday- English • Letters have been sent to students that need to attend

  5. PSAT testing • PSAT given in a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 12th for 10th and 11th grades • PSAT is free for 10th grade students • Score reports returned in December • Take SAT/ACT during junior year

Weighted courses and GPA • Grades in Honors/dual credit courses receive an added point value of 0.8 • Grades in AP courses receive an added point value of 1.0 • Grades of A+ receive an added 0.1 • Students taking 7 courses per semester receive an additional quality point added to their total point value

  13. OCU Early College Initiative • Students can earn an Associates Degree in General Studies by completing the program of study • Students will register for this program at the beginning of their sophomore year
