Engaging in the Barter Game: A Hands-On Resource Exchange Experience

DESCRIPTION

The Barter Game is an interactive activity designed for students to explore the concept of direct trade. In this exercise, students will be divided into five groups, each representing a different country with specific resources they possess and need. The objective is to successfully barter with other groups to acquire necessary resources using only trade cards—no money or credit allowed. Following the game, participants will reflect on their experiences, discussing successes and challenges, and gain insight into the complexities of bartering as an economic system.
