  4. Full-Time: 4-5 courses at KSU (12-16 credits) Part-time: Split time between KSU and high school Class Schedule Options May attend KSU full-time or part-time

  5. Choose regular or Honors classes Honors benefits: Smaller class sizes Taught by members of the Honors Faculty Get to know KSU honors students and other DEHP students Designated on KSU transcript Honors Course Option

  6. Typical Coursework Fall semester: • Composition I (ENGL 1101) • American Government (POLS 1101) • Science (Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Science or Earth Science) • Math (Algebra, Trig, Pre-Calculus, Calculus I,II or III, Statistics)

Admission Requirements • 3.0 GPA in core academic classes (not electives) • Combined score of 1100 on SAT Critical Reading and Math sections (ACT 24) • Minimum Critical Reading score: 530 (ACT 23) • Minimum Math score: 530 (ACT 22) • Must be on track for completion of college prep curriculum requirements

  11. AdmissionS File Check List 4 required elements: • Online application & application fee • Official high school transcript • Official SAT or ACT scores • DEHP Consent Form

Admissions TIMETABLE • Now: Register for earliest SAT or ACT testing date • We recommend both tests! • Select KSU as school to receive scores • This fall: Meet with high school counselor to complete Consent Form • Send official high school transcript and Consent Form to KSU • Complete online application & fee

  13. Admissions TIMETABLE FINAL DEADLINE for receipt of all documents: January 11, 2013 • Track your admissions status online at www.kennesaw.edu/admissions • Allow 3-5 weeks after receipt of all your documents for an admissions decision.

  17. *Based on this year’s costs. 2013 funding amounts and tuition costs will be confirmed in Spring 2013. • TUITION: • Accel pays 100% • MOWR pays 100% for 12 credits only • MANDATORY FEES: • Accel does not pay • MOWR pays 100% • TEXTBOOKS: • Neither program pays • LAB FEES: • Neither program pays • Typical lab fees: $20 Writing Center fee for English 1101; $35 lab fee for science courses

  18. Bottom line -- We anticipate: An Accel student in 1-5 KSU classes will pay: • $454 fee balance per semester, plus books and any lab fees. A MOWR student in 4 KSU classes: • $0fee balance Pay only for books and any lab fees. • By comparison, a Fall 2012 KSU freshman commuter student taking 4 classes and receiving HOPE: • Paid $194.09 in tuition • Paid $817.00 in student fees = $1,011.09, plus books and any lab fees
