Overview • New specialization to begin in September 2012 • 45-credit, full-time program • Can be completed in 18 months • No work experience required • Students with background in business administration, engineering, economics, math, computer science, etc. • Aims to train specialists: analysts, advisors, logistics managers, etc. • Can lead to the Ph.D.

  3. Program structure • 7 courses followed by the M.Sc. thesis • Compulsory courses • Managing international business networks • Planning and control of logistics systems • Supply chain management: fundamentals and trends • Elective courses • Transportation systems • Decision support tools • Network optimization • …

  4. The thesis • In-depth study of a theoretical or applied topic • Contribution to the advancement of knowledge • Typical research areas: • Logistics network design • Vehicle routing • Warehousing management systems • Impact of new technologies on logistics • Performance measures

  5. Examples of recent theses • Impact of off-shoring decisions on logistics (F. Peyrol) • Train schedule optimization at AMT (S.
