  1. Letter from the Editor Happy Holidays to you and your family. With the New Year upon us we are very excited to start planning club activities for 2012. We kick the year off with a presentation by Vice President Woody Jacobson at our meeting on January 3rd. The Topic is “ Psychology as Applied to Fly Fishing.”. Learn about the psychological states involved in the processing from incompetence to competence in fly fishing. A big thank you goes out to our club members for voting in the purchase of a projector for presentations at our monthly meetings. Since the purchase we have had two great presentations, one from club member Evan Salmon, and a second one by Pat from Pat’s Atomic Fly Shop. Last year our club had four outings and numerous club members attended. We are already planning a spring opener in late March or early April, and hope everyone can come out and enjoy the great fellowship, food and fishing. Annual Banquet is March 20th Our Annual Banquet is March 20th at the Porterhouse Restaurant. This is our big fundraising opportunity of the year to help raise funds for club activities, area conservation projects and educational materials. We are asking each club member to provide at least one auction item for the event. A club donation request letter is attached to your newsletter. If you need it customized please let me know. . This will help you provide information to prospective business’s about our club and activities we promote. If you have items for sale or items you are wanting send a quick email or give the editor a call and we will add it to the newsletter. We will start promoting this event in early February and hope to expand the community knowledge about our sport and promote the conservation of our lakes and rivers.
