  10. u.select, the Tool • Allows students to access degree requirements online. • Enables students to run a personalized planning guide and monitor their progress toward degree completion. • Provides a common source for transfer information to counselors, advisors, faculty and students. • Allows 2- and 4-year counselors to access their transfer students information in u.select.

How Do We Create Successful Transfer Programs? • “Success” is defined as helping students transfer and graduate. • Eliminate reliance on static, printed transfer agreements. • Transfer agreements should involve the multiple entities impacting students. • Successful transfer programs should benefit all so they will be supported, promoted and sustained.

Case Study • Community Colleges provide students with the associate degree and the first two years of the bachelor’s degree. • u.select is used to facilitate transfer advising to effectively and efficiently assist students in achieving their educational goals. • Baccalaureate institutions build on that foundation to provide the students a degree in their chosen major. • Student is the beneficiary.

DePaul Admission Partnership Program (DAPP) • DAPP was created to increase the services and programs for our transfer students by building on our existing relationships, internally and externally. • DAPP is a program for students who choose to begin their DePaul bachelor’s degree at a community college. • External relationships included Harper College and u.select. • Multiple offices and departments within DePaul have active roles in DAPP.
