Enhance components within NSP, synergize with National Health Plans, develop guidance framework, promote country ownership. Implement advanced planning to differentiate LT and ST. Optimize TA recommendations within NSP for follow-ups. Share and collect NSPs, improve website with social networking and mobile Apps. Ensure accurate data entry and in-depth analysis with NTPs. Foster partner collaboration, harmonize with GF, active participation, conduct TBTEAM training and involve expert roster. Emphasize more training, recruit diverse experts, improve SOP for better implementation, monitor expert quality. Involve partners in Global Fund renewals aligned with national reviews.

Summary of discussions • NSP & TA planning • Strengthen the components within the NSP and synergize with National Health Plans • Develop framework for guidance • Country ownership • Advanced planning (differentiate LT (intensive) and ST (basic) • TA recommendations will be more likely followed up if stated in the TA plan as part of the NSP • Continue to collect and share NSPs • TA quality, impact and TBTEAM website • Improve website, involve social networking explore mobile Apps. • Data entry needs to be entered correctly with maximum of information • Analysis (focusing on in-debt analysis of selected countries) – to be discussed with NTPs and partners • Harmonize with GF • All to become more active • Partner involvement and collaboration • Work with other partners to coordinate TA • Continue TBTEAM training with countries & partners

Summary of discussions • Expert Roster • More training & use of these trained consultants; also focus on intensified support on a few consultants, support local capacity • Work with other Technical support facilities, like TSF/UNAIDS, • Coordinate with other programmes at national level (HIV Lab missions, grant management & financial support) • Improve regional experts who know the context, and explore alternative solutions for areas of complex situations • Recruit more experts beyond the TB specific areas, include university, medical professions (etc) & experts Spanish, Russian, Chinese, Arabic speakers • A need for clear SOP: TOR, and deliverables, advanced preparations from both NTP & consultants, and set up agreed implementation plan of recommendations (responsible for follow-up clearly briefed • Quality • Increase expert evaluations (simplify it, or explore alternative ways to get recipients of TA to fill in the evaluations) and continue to monitor experts on the roster • Global Fund renewals • Essential that partners are involved in the whole grant renewal process from pre assessment to submission of PII requests, taking into account reprogramming focusing on more strategic areas • Align grant renewals with the national programme reviews
