Muench ANNOUNCEMENTS BOARD MEETINGS Every 2nd Monday August 1 – Beaches Kiwanis Club’s 67th Anniversary August 1 – 4 96th Annual District Convention, Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront Round Table Discussion Venue Committee Our club is searching for another meeting place for the 3rd time in less than a year. Selva Marina will be closing for improvements. We hope to reach a decision on a lunch venue for membership meetings quickly. Please submit any suggestions for meeting places by emailing me or calling me and the committee will review. Preferred conditions – Private or semi-private room w/space for growth from 12 – 40 attendees – good acoustics Table service & set ups with limited menu and timely service Media capable for speakers Affordable lunch cost below $12.00/per person Fund Raiser Volunteers for committee to discuss feasibility for golf tournament possibility as soon as this fall or within the coming year. Please submit your interest in participating. OR _If you were at our last directors meeting or membership meeting and expressed an interest, please confirm you can participate. Your name and contact information will be provided to Karl to contact for meetings or discussion. Nominating Committee Nominations are in for officers 2013-14 term beginning Oct 2013. Karl Price is nominated for President & Nancy Bernard for Treasurer. Vacancies for nominees still open for Secretary & President Elect (2014-15). The committee asks that any volunteers or recommendations for these vacancies submit interest and they will finalize the nominations promptly. Please keep those with health and medical conditions in your thoughts and prayers ! Walt Pfeil is recovering at Brooks Rehab from a serious fall about 3 weeks ago. Reports are that he will be good as new in a few weeks. Carl Krouch is working through with his illness, and continues to look for medical solutions.
