2. 12-Apr-12 FTI provides interconnectivity to over 4,000 FAA facilities
NAS App Programs & respective consumers are accessible from these facilities
FTI interconnections currently include Management & Security infrastructure
SWIM enables legacy NAS systems to interchange data w/ users using SOA
SWIM establishes 4 Core Services: Interface Management, Enterprise Messaging, Service Management & System Security
SWIM utilizes a publish/subscribe (pub/sub) information exchange model
FTI interconnects App Programs to data consumers & can establish a net-centric SWIM approach, leveraging FTI footprint, Management & Security capabilities FTI Enables a Net-centric SWIM Core Service Capability
3. 12-Apr-12 FTI moving forward on NextGen vision: FTI Operational Evaluation
Stakeholders: FTI, SWIM, WARP, ITWS (WJHTC) & Ops Planning Services
Objective: Provide an Operational Evaluation of a net-centric deployment of SWIM-like Core Services data exchange capability for delivering FBWTG & other hosted services
Demonstrates data ubiquity: publish data to any NAS user, anywhere in FTIs reach - Weather (ie, ITWS/WARP) ideal candidate for ubiquitous data needs
Measure infrastructure re-usability, network impacts, security, performance & new user provisioning requirements for SWIM FTI EDX Operational Evaluation: SWIM-like Net-centric Core Services

7. 12-Apr-12 EDX Roadmap: Release 2 Release 2 (15 Sept Final SW delivery, 15 Oct - Available to FAA)
NEXRAD Publisher/ ITWS Consumer
Expansion of Core Service capabilities:
Service Monitoring and Metrics ESB and web services
UDDI Registry use registry to register web services and access service address at runtime.
JMS to web service conversion use ESB to convert JMS message to SOAP message and invoke a web service to display content. Provide ITWS web service to consume NexRad data.
Stretch Goals:
Governance ALER design capture
8. 12-Apr-12 Release 3 (5 Dec Final SW delivery, 15 Jan - Available to FAA)
WARP Publisher enable the WARP system to publish products through ESB.
Expansion of Core Service capabilities
High Availability messaging via ESB add load balancer, shared disk and clustering capability using HA product.
Service Level Security provide access control at the service level
Service Monitoring and Metrics enhanced capabilities
BEA IBM ESB bidirectional JMS interoperability between ALSB and MB
Product Catalog/CBR Enhancement increased automation of product management
Performance Instrumentation data driver and monitoring/measurement tools EDX Roadmap: Release 3
