  2. VOLTA • Volta’s battery produced a steady current of electricity. • Volta was one of the men to help invent the light bulb. • He was born in 1745.

  3. Edison • Edison attached wires to a thin strand of paper ,or filament, inside a glass globe. The filament began to glow. This became the first light bulb.

  4. Faraday Faraday was the first person to discover that moving a magnet near a coil of copper produced an electric current in the wire.
