Current Situation • Today • Customers are coming esplanade for shops diversity and rich offering. • A lot of them are coming Esplanade with an accurate idea of what they want to shop • In crisis periods, shoppers are loosing time reading all promotions insteadof free shopping and are running out of time for interesting promotions that are not visible enough. • Let’s a mobile app do the job for them…

  5. Situation TO BE • Tomorrow • The Esplanade Mobile App is downloadable from several Esplanade places using QR Codes • The mobile App is notifying promotions in real time. Increasing sales and instant shopping. • Any shop installed in Esplanade can activate promotions through mobile channel to increase sales • Example: H&M starts a 10% ticket reduction • from 11h30 to 12h30 every day, increasing • sales (market shares) during lunchtime • Impact: Based on our statistics, such a promotion • is increasing sales by 21% for this timeslot

Situation TO BE • Create the buzz • With such an application and attractive promotions, more people will reach Esplanade for shopping. • The foreseen promotions notifications can be pushed on mobile devices from everywhere giving a sign to people from Auderghem, Overijse, Nivelles, Gembloux… to join Esplanade. They are kept in touch about Esplanade promotions at any moment.

Business Services / Personas • User looking for a new Xbox Game • The men can search the keyword XBOX, or GAMES in the Mobile Apps and a list of Esplanade shops will appear guiding him (if necessary) to the shop. • The men could also consult prices • When entering Free Record Shop or any other shop selling Xbox, He could be triggered of extra promotions. • For exemple the mobile application will display: FREE RECORD SHOP XBOX • (10% promotion) if buying within 30 next minutes.

Business Services / Personas • Woman is looking for husband gift • The woman has a budget of 150 euro • Her husband is expecting for a high-quality hat or Big Fragrance Bottle • The woman is guided by the mobile app from a shop to another offering hats and fragrance bottles. • It seems that hats are too expensives, She decides to search for a fragrance bottle. In the first shop, the bottle is 180 euro. Out of budget… • When entering the second fragrance shop, the mobile application is notifying her about 24H promotion: 25% offwhen buying king size fragrance bottle (Hugo Boss and Brut) • She finally decides to buy a fragrance bottle at 180 – 25% = 135 euro  increasing global sales of Esplanade and customer satisfaction

  12. How does this promotion notification work? Global overview System enables media (video, song) to be delivered to a Smartphone or tablet based on presence. No technology to date has enabled media delivery based on a consumer standing in front of a shelf, television, or at a concert. The patent pending technology enables the communication of data in the ultra high-frequency inaudible range between any speaker and microphone. The decoding algorithm enables a common process for extracting data from audio using any microphone on any Smartphone or tablet Deliver location aware content

The signal is broadcast at a • low dB level. • Travels around corners, which is something radio does not do • Thanks to this new service, Esplanade shop installation requests will continue to increase. • All shops installed in Esplanade will see there margins increase. • Mobile app is a very efficient solution to push notification to customers everywhere using mobile channel. Mobile is most of the time always up and running (<> publicity, tv, classic internet…) • Possibilities to profile customers based on their Smartphone IMEI (= phone unique id) respectingprivacy. • Solution running old devices as based on basic hardware (audio) • People are staying Esplanade much longer to avoid missing a promotion.
