Responsibilities • Responsibilities for Program Assistant: Peer Education Program with Center for Health Education and Counseling and Psychological Services; Supervise Graduate Assistant and three Program Coordinators; Coordinate monthly lecture series; Drop-in hours Full-time staff, on salary: $35,500 + $3,700 (temp) • Responsibilities for Program Coordinators: Program Coordinator #1: Community programs and workshops focus on issues of concern to women (e.g. health, safety, sexism); Drop-in hours Part-time staff, hourly wage: $9,600 Program Coordinator #2: Directing all aspects of the Self Defense Program, two month cyclically throughout the year; Drop-in hours Part-time staff, hourly wage: $9,600 Program Coordinator #3: Planning all aspects of Mary Atkins Month; Drop-in hours Part-time staff, hourly wage: $9,600

Responsibilities • Responsibilities for Graduate Assistant: Plan and implement Women’s Dialogue Program in collaboration with the Office of Sorority Life; Clothesline Project; Coordinate programming events with Taos community; Drop-in hours Part-time, Graduate Assistant stipend: $16,500 (temp) • Responsibilities for Student Internship: Assist with all programming by Coordinators; Shadow Director; Undergraduate liaison; Voice student issues; Website updates Part-time, hourly wage: $7,680

Vision The Women’s Center at Bloss College aims to provide an environment welcoming, inclusive, and purposeful to foster a greater sense of empowerment and increased understanding of the importance of advocacy. The Center seeks to attract faculty, staff, and students and promote an overall awareness of Women’s issues to the entire community. In attracting all community members, the Women’s Center desires to further develop the collaboration efforts among other student service areas on campus. Acknowledging the advancements in technology over the recent years, the Center aims to utilize the networking and communication resources currently used by the Bloss College community in order to reach the maximum amount of people.

Mission The Women’s Center at Bloss College promotes the mission of the university and division of Student Affairs by empowering, advocating, counseling, and giving voice to Women’s issues through educational programs, providing relevant literature/videos, serving as a safe space, assisting and referring community members to the necessary services when seeking help, and actively supporting the campus constituents. The Center engages community members in dialogue, workshops, and continuous programming throughout the course of the year to challenge and support their development in order to guide them in a direction towards becoming advocates and feeling empowered at Bloss College and in today’s society.

Goals • To attract more community members, beyond the undergraduate student population, to include the voices, issues, and concerns of faculty, staff, and graduate students as it relates to Women’s issues. • Marketing • Raise awareness of faculty and staff issues • Programs cater to faculty, staff, and students (i.e., time) • To develop a greater appreciation for advocacy amongst community members and prepare them to be community advocates for Women’s issues. • Educate community on advocacy • Assist other functional areas with advocacy events • Marketing (i.e., powerful posters)
