In assembly line sequence, accomplish your piece of the following flight plan: 1. Carina & Tyler 2. Jaccie & David • - Figure out the minimum safe enroute altitude for each leg of the trip • Write down the restrictions associated with flying over Bryce Canyon • Insert in the flight plan form each navigational aid and communication frequency that will be used during flight • Draw the runways on the flight plan for SGU and BCE • On a Las Vegas Sectional, draw an actual pencil line route from SGU to the Southern tip of the Bryce Canyon Park area; thence North to the Northern tip; thence to BCE VOR; thence home. • Write down magnetic headings and distances in statute miles of each leg of the trip using the flight plan form 3. Brandon & Scott • Figure out time enroute using actual winds • Using the data given to the left, determine how much fuel you’ll be using on this flight • FARs require you have ½ hour reserve fuel when you land; how much is that? • Choose two emergency airfields and circle them in red pencil on the map • Add the fuel burned, the fuel reserve, and your combined weight (the 2 of you) and use the weight & balance chart to determine if you can safely make the trip 14 November 08, Friday
