  1. Friday, Nov. 14 • Warm-up: get writing folders • Review synthesis essays: Hopefully, you remember writing them. Complete reflection. • Topic share: Discuss possible essay topics with your group.   2. Synthesis essays • For the most part, solid essays! • Fuller exploration of ideas. Example: If you discuss how location is important and give an example of a poorly placed monument, give another example of a monument properly placed to balance the paragraph. You had a ton of time to write this essay! • Some people are still forgetting to integrate quotes. • Nice job letting the argument come first. Evidence from the sources was used well, as support rather than the main idea.
