This proposal outlines the academic cost changes for the years 2011 and 2012 at the University of Texas, addressing tuition, fee modifications, and total academic costs. The aim is to limit increases to 3.95% or $280/year for a student taking 30 credit hours, with adjustments to mandatory fees like the Athletic Fee and Medical Services Fee. The plan also includes a reduction in the Energy Fee by 19% in FY 2011. Tuition rates are set to rise with designated tuition rates increasing by 9% in FY 2011 and 8% in FY 2012. The document presents a breakdown of total academic costs for both years and highlights that no incidental college/course fees will escalate. Approval from the Board of Regents is pending, with the final decision influenced by political, economic climates, and state budget reductions.
