Bellwork :

This piece explores the impact of caregiver responsiveness on an infant's social development. It emphasizes how a baby who receives attention primarily during distress rather than joyful moments may develop unhealthy emotional responses over time. The text highlights key aspects of how babies learn, including imitation and cause-and-effect relationships, and stresses the importance of consistency in caregiver responses. Additionally, it presents ideas for engaging activities, such as skits to demonstrate appropriate interactions with children experiencing stranger anxiety.
