Monday 10/15 After your Biography goes a new journal date: June 14, 1750: Buying my ticket costs 10 English Pounds (money) Indentured Servants will not have the $$ so they will approach the Ship Captain at the docks and make arrangements for someone in the Colonies to “buy” my ticket and I will provide service for 4-7 years

  2. Preparing for my journey YOUR SHIP’S FARE INCLUDES: 2 meals a day Space for you and your family to lay down (No individual cabins in 1750)

  3. PACKING FOR AMERICA It’s June 14th 1750 Remember, you are leaving to go to a strange land…. What might you need to survive?

  4. Packing for the American ColoniesWhat do I need to survive in 1750s? Gentry – May take 3 trunks of items & what they can carry. (Later on you can send for more) Middle Class – 1 trunk of possessions & what I can carry

  5. Poor Farmers – 1 bag of stuff and what I can carry • Indentured Servants – you only own a few “Necessities”. What do I own?

  6. BY June 14th You have bought your ticket or arranged for an indenture. The ship’s crew are getting ready. TOMORROW you will board. You have been busy today packing and saying good-byes.
