  1. Understanding the Working of Amorphous Inductors If you have a little introduction of electrical systems, you might have heard the very common term - inductors. They are generally manufactured of magnetic core, shield, skeleton and a winding system. Skeleton Its main part skeleton –is a bracket of winding coil which comes wrapped with the enameled wire. This wire is wrapped around the skeleton, and then the core. It primarily works to increase the inductance of the skeleton. Winding The winding is a system of coils which has prescribed functions. It is basically divided into single layer and multilayer. Core Materials of Inductor Inductors are made up of several core materials which are -silicon steel sheet, perm-alloy, ferrite, amorphous, metal powder and others. The Common Mode Inductance The Amorphous Common Mode Inductor is mainly dependent on the role of the EMI filter. This is used to strain the interference of external common mode electromagnetic to the inverter. Moreover, it restrains the electromagnetic interference of the inverter itself. So, it helps in avoiding the normal operation of other equipment in the power grid and the same electromagnetic environment.

  2. Impact of Removing DC EMI from Inductor The PV module is a DC source, which avoids the electromagnetic interference. Some inverter manufacturers remove the DC EMI common mode inductance to lower the cost of the product. However, this increases the inverter switching speed to very high. So, it will produce large common- mode interference current. If there is no EMI DC common mode inductance, the interference current signal is transmitted to the DC cable and components, and they will behave more or less like an antenna. This will produce high electromagnetic interference, and impact signals of solar system surrounding. Improving Power Generation Capacity Generally, the two-stage structure of string inverter is organized in order to improve the power generation capacity. Boost This is the first stage to configure the boost inductor. Configuration The second stage is to configure the inverter circuit, filter inductor, boost inductor and filter inductor This two-stage process helps to ensure the power inductors in smooth transitioning. From the current perspective, power inductor ripple in the whole operating period of current which is relatively large. Though the working of Amorphous Common Mode Inductor is vast, we have summed up here. Did you like this post? Keep updating yourself with our latest technical posts on inductors.
