  3. Days of the week Aim to teach all 7 days before leading up to months and birthdays in 1st and 2nd level. Che giorno e`? What day is it?   12. Embedding the language Use the Italian day of the week classroom signs (on the website) and ask pupils to pick the correct one each day.

  13. Sample activities You will find a bank of sample activities which you can use to practise the vocabulary in the classroom. This is not a prescriptive list of activities and you can use or adapt them to suit the needs of your class. You will find a set of more challenging activities in First Level Greetings.

  15. Che giorno e`? 1 • Pupils should look at the slides, listen to the day of the week in Italian and try and match the day of the week to the correct word in English. • You could support this further by using day of the week fans so that pupils could do their own individual version.
