Data4all Data4all is the name that regroups several projects carried on by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers with a common target: to improve the efficiency of public administration and the quality of public services. • Dati.gov.it Dati.gov.it is the National Open Data Portal that allows everyone to see and understand open data from public administration • SoldiPubblici soldipubblici.gov.it Where, whom and for what: soldipubblici.gov.it hosts online all the expenses regarding local governments. A simple way to control over expenditure data with the help of interactive tools • ItaliaSicura - italiasicura.gov.it A portal that allows the display of data regarding the hydrogeological situation and, in particular, the state of emergencies (such as floods and landslides) and the related work carried out by the Government: citizens can follow the progress of the construction sites and how much money has been spent on a single intervention. • OpenExpo - dati.openexpo.it The portal has been made to show the progress of Expo2015 - financial flows, purchases and payments, the state of construction site - in a more transparent way, easier to navigate by using simple visualisation tools. 5

  8. Data4all - objectives • prioritizing the information that can help improve the quality of decision-making • improving the quality of public services • encouraging the participation of citizens in decision-making • increasing the access to published information and reuse. 8

Data4all - results • A better awareness about public spending (SoldiPubblici had 1,5 millions of query in its first 30 days of activity) • A replicable model for a better sharing of public data • A renewed interest in the open data ecosystem • New tools to fight corruption • An increase in the access to published information 10

Data4all – Citizen engagement • Social Media every project has: • a Twitter account • Facebook account for OpenExpo • Flickr account (per) for ItaliaSicura • All the data are released in an open format • Dati.gov has a “Partecipa” page where it is possible to fulfill a form and interact with the inner staff in order to share information, request datasets, subscribe newsletters and underline any problem 11
