  1. Nice Nouns Nouns are naming words. Some naming words name places. Some naming words name things.

  2. Read each sentence. Rewrite the sentences on your own paper. Circle the nouns that name places or things. Some sentences will only have one noun. When you are finished, use the down arrow to check your answers. • Today I took my doll to school. • Max brought a teddy bear. • Then we went to the store. • I had money for a new toy. • I bought a new dress instead. • I wore my new dress to church on Sunday.

  3. Check your answers!! Use the down arrow to see how many nouns that name places or things are in each sentence. The nouns that name people or animals are RED. • Today I took my doll to school. • Max brought a teddy bear. • Then we went to the store. • I had money for a new toy. • I bought a new dress instead. • I wore my new dress to church on Sunday.

  4. Challenge Work!! • Make the following chart on your paper: • Look in your story, EEK! There’s a Mouse in the House, to find more nouns! Write them on the chart. Is it a place or a thing?
