Introducing Naunton Park Primary School We believe that all children should enjoy their time at school, in a happy, secure and stimulating, environment, where they are cared for in a warm and professional way, by a dedicated team of staff, committed to achieving high standards in every aspect of school life.

  4. What we offer the children and their parents • High standards of teaching and learning. • An enriched and broad curriculum with many opportunities for all. • Security with an emphasis on children’s well-being and happiness. • Close tracking of children’s progress and appropriate support.

Summary of the Ofsted Inspection: May 2008 “ Naunton Park is a good school , which offers an exceptionally stimulating environment so that pupils achieve well academically and develop excellent personal skills. When pupils join the Reception class, their attainment is broadly in line with that expected for their age. They make good progress as they move through the school, so that by the time they leave, standards are above national averages and often well above. Pupils’ good progress results from good quality teaching and an excellent curriculum, overseen by strong leadership .”

  11. ‘A big picture of the curriculum’ In order for children to achieve these high levels of attainment and exhibit excellent behaviour and social skills, the curriculum is looked upon as an entire learning experience.

  12. It is planned to meet the individual needs of our children and is broad and exciting. It includes sport, the creative arts, humanities and sciences as well as English and mathematics.

  13. The approach to classroom based learning is creative and complemented by use of the outdoor environment, trips, visitors, curriculum days and events.

  14. Relationships between everyone in the school are based on sound values such as respect and trust.There are high expectations of children and adults within the school. In this way a positive and caring ethos exists and is maintained.

  15. Supported by an effective staff team and Governing Body, a positive partnership with parents and the community, the children receive an excellent education and happy experience at Naunton Park Primary School.

Admissions criteria • Children in Public Care. • Children who have an older brother or sister attending the school at the time the applicant is admitted. • Children with exceptional medical conditions. • Children with the strongest geographical claim, measured in a straight line from the child’s home to school.
