  2. Deadlines • The deadline to submit a permit application is 21 days prior to the event. All documentation including liability insurance, map, detour plan, etc. and payment must be submitted with application form • “You may delay but time will not” -Benjamin Franklin

  3. What do I need to turn in? • Application • Liability Insurance Certificate • Route Map • Detour Plan • Barricade Plan • Site Plan • Payment

  4. Permit Application • This Permit Application can be found at www.slco.org under Special Events • The Salt Lake County Special Event Ordinance 14.56 can be found at http://library.municode.com/index.aspx?clientId=16602

  5. Liability Insurance • $1,000,000 for injury or death of one person • $2,000,000 General Aggregate • $1,000,000 Property Damage • IMPORTANT NOTE: Salt Lake County must be listed as additional insured • The following events are exempt from payment: • Political Events • Parades-less than one mile • School events- on, or directly adjacent to, school property • Events sponsored by County • Block parties

Payment • $50.00 for Permit Application • We accept the following forms of payment: Cash, Check, Visa, Master Card, Discover Card. • The following events are exempt from payment: • Political Events • Parades-less than one mile • School events- on, or directly adjacent to, school property • Events sponsored by County • Block parties

  10. Who reviews and approves my application? • Unified Police Department • Transportation Engineer • Health Department • District Attorney: Risk Management • Parks and Recreation • Utah Transit Authority • Unified Fire Authority • Community Council Member
