Achievement stipend • Tooffer recognition and support to students who have excellent study results while studying with 100% workload • Students of all curriculumscanapply – butonlysmallnumber of studentswillbegranted • Applyingin SIS • September 1- September 30; February1- February 28 • Grantedforone semester at a time, 100 eur/month • More info: academicaffairsspecialist of yourfacultyor noustaja@ut.ee

Achievement stipend: prerequisites … applicantis a citizen of Estonia or resides in Estonia on the basis of a long-term or temporary residence permit or a permanent or temporary right of residence or reside in Estonia with a long-stay visa or without a visa if there is an agreement with the foreign country for visa-free movement or the citizens of the foreign country are exempt from visa and have applied for a temporary residence permit for studies;... studies full time;... is not on academic leave;... has not exceeded the nominal study period of his/her curriculum;... is completing his/her curriculum 100% (without taking into account credit points obtained by the recognition of prior learning and work experience).

Applicant must be citizen of Estonia or resides in Estonia on the basis of a long-term or temporary residence permit or a permanent or temporary right of residence or reside in Estonia with a long-stay visa or without a visa if there is an agreement with the foreign country for visa-free movement or the citizens of the foreign country are exempt from visa and have applied for a temporary residence permit for studies;...isafull-time student;... is not on academic leave;... has not exceeded the standard period of study of the curriculum; … is completing curriculum 100%

Need-based study allowance and need-based special allowance • Tosupportstudetswhocomefromfamilies of lowereconomicalsituation • Everystudentcanapplyregardless of curriculumorstudyresuls, whenfittingintorequirements BUT • A lot of documentationneededfromhomecountryinstitutions, thiscanbetime-consuming and costly: • Familymembership(all-inclusive list of familymembers) • Income of all thefamilymembers(familiydefinedby Estonian law) • Proof of your 18…24 year-oldsibling’sstudies • All theforeigndocuments need tobecertifiedby apostilleorlegalized, and translated, thiscanbetime-consuming and costly • Eachsemester, whenapplying, newdocumentsmightbeasked

  8. Need-based study allowance and need-based special allowance • Can be applied throughout the semester • Granted from the month of applying until the end of semester • Need-based study allowance 75€, 135€ or 220€ / month, depending on income • Need-based special allowance 134€ / month

Doctoral allowance • Thereismonthly PhD students’ study allowance – 660 euros to be paid throughoutthe study period(4 years). • No need to submitextraapplication, asitisgrantedwithadmission to UT. • SomestudentsreceiveDora+ PhD study allowance (660 euros) iftheirstudies are supportedbytheDora+ programme. Doctoral allowance: prerequisites …Applicantsare citizens of Estonia or reside in Estonia on the basis of a long-term or temporary residence permit or a permanent or temporary right of residence …study full time or part time without the obligation to pay the tuition fee …have successfully passed progress review in the academic year preceding the granting of allowance or are first-year doctoral students
