  2. Soccer in Italy • Soccer is a popular sport in Italy. It is called “futbol” in Italy. Italy’s soccer league is called (FIGC) which means Federazione Italiana Gioco Calcio. They have 20 clubs in their league and played on their respective home field. They have won the Fifa World Cup 4 times. (1934, 1938, 1982 and 2006)

  3. Italian Food In Italy, people eat many different varieties of food. Some foods that they enjoy eating are chocolate, pizza, and pasta. They like to add tomatoes to their sauces and other dishes as well. Meat is also a popular dish in Italy. For desserts, people in Italy eat a lot of pastries and cakes. Some people in Italy like to drink wine and many different types of liquor, martinis, aperitifs, cocktails, and champagne.

  4. Clothing in Italy In Italy, people wear very neat, designer clothing. On special occasions men usually wear suits and tuxedos. Unlike men, women like to wear dresses and skirts. Italy is also known for producing a lot of clothing for companies, such as Fila, Cesare Paiotti, Bottega Veneta, Marzotta and many more.

  5. Traditions in Italy Wedding and Christmas traditions are huge in Italy. Weddings in Italy are special because they have so many guests. The townspeople place obstacles in the brides path to see how she reacts; for example, if she picks up a broom she will clean the house. Christmas is huge in Italy. Christmas is called Natale. The children write poems and songs to recite at Christmas. They also light a lot of candles and cook delicious food.

  6. In Italy their culture differs from ours based on their sports, foods, clothing, and traditions. They may have similar traditions but they celebrate them in different ways. In Italy they have many of the same foods, but they use them in different and unique ways.
