  2. Lambaste • Verb-attack, usually with words, criticize (someone or something)harshly The coach lambasted the team for their lack of effort.

  3. IMPASSE • Noun- a situation in which no progress is possible, esp. because of disagreement; a deadlock Because my friend hit my brother, we experienced an impasse, which lead me to slap her in the face.

  4. JARGON Even though my mom said that I have to avoid jargon, it is difficult to obey because it is very common among teens. • Noun- slang

  5. DETER • Verb-prevent, block My cousin, who enjoys yelling at us, will not deter us from leaving the house.

  6. TENUOUS • Adj-weak,thin Adam, a very tenuous kid, came to school Very tired which caused him to sleep During class.

  12. PREEMINENT • Adj-superior, outstanding, distinguished, above the rest King Author was preeminent because He took charge and he was above the Rest of his people.

  13. RESURGENCE • Noun -rebirth It has been an honor being a part Of the resurgence at Lindenwold High school because I feel as though I Made it a better place.
