  2. Cost The cost components of an inground pool are the cost of pool, landscaping, lighting, decking, etc. Cost factors of an above ground pool is the price of the pool, the kit itself and installation cost. You should compare the costs of both before selecting one.

  3. Size Both above ground and inground pools can be of similar sizes. However, an above ground pool has limitations on the depth whereas inground pools are available in greater depths.

  4. Maintenance Maintaining both types of pools requires equal efforts. Both warrant skimming of surface water to clear the debris, testing and treating of water, etc.
