Sustainableconsumption Delivered/ongoing: • Green mobility • 3rd Mobility Package in May 2018 (revised tyre labelling regulation, fuel price comparison of alternative fuels) • inter-institutional negotiations ongoing 2030 CO2 targets cars • Single-Use-Plastics : Legal proposal (May 2018) • Sustainable Finance: legal proposal on taxonomy for green investment funds (May 2018) + study launched to develop possible EU Ecolabel criteria for financial products (October 2018) • Behavioural study on Consumer engagement in a Circular Economy – DG JUST finalised (October 2018) • JRC project on 'Repair Scoring System'

Sustainableconsumption Upcoming: • Dedicated CPC workshop on planned obsolescence 24/10/2018 • Premature Obsolescence Horizon 2020 project (expected launch 2019 until 2022) • EU Strategy on LT greenhouse gas emission reduction until 2050 (end of November) • Sustainable Product Policy Review for Circular Economy - 2019 (DG ENV) • Ecodesign /Energy Labelling winter package early 2019 + preparatory studies (e.g. on batteries) • Misleading green claims: exploring possible international workshop with enforcers of G20 countries (2019)

Progress for the Clean Energy Package Adoption of the new Energy Performance of Buildings (EPBD) on 14 May 2018 • Low and zero-emission building stock by 2050 • ICT and smart technologies for efficient buildings • Renovate older buildings to combat energy poverty • Stronger Energy Performance Certificate provisions • Rollout of e-mobility infrastructure • Stronger long-term building renovation strategies

Progress for the Clean Energy Package Agreement on the revised Renewable Energy Directive (RED) on 14 June 2018 • Binding renewables target of 32% for 2030 • Improved design and stability of support schemes • Clear, stable regulatory framework for self-consumption • Greater ambition for transport and heating/cooling sectors • Sustainability of bioenergy use

  6. Progress for the Clean Energy Package Agreement on the revised Energy Efficiency Directive (EED) on 19 June 2018 • Energy efficiency target of 32.5% for 2030 • Upwards revision clause by 2023 • Annual energy saving obligation extended beyond 2020 • Stronger rules on individual metering and billing of thermal energy (e.g. multi-apartment buildings) • Reporting on levels of energy poverty, measures taken, progress made (+ Governance Regulation)
