  2. Review of Implementation of MDMS in Lakshadweep(Primary + Upper Primary)(1.4.2013 to 31.12.2013) Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India

Best Practices • The UT is providing Rs.8/-pcpd at Primary and Rs.9/-pcpd at upper Primary level, which is more than the minimum mandatory share. • The UT is providing Rs. 5250/- per cook cum helper as UT share of honorarium. Total honorarium to each cook is Rs.750 + Rs.5250 = 6000/- per month.

  4. UT is providing Chicken, meat, eggs, fruits etc. under Mid day meal. • All the schools are having deep freezer, mixie and storage bins for the storage of food grains

  5. ISSUES • Food grains utilization is less. (57%) • Variation in data entry in terms of cooking cost , Honorarium paid, utilization of food grains. Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India
