  7. Watchez Inc. Watchez Inc. has been in the watch business for over 20 years. Our cutting edge watch designs are big hit in Japan and so you will be working closely with an English speaking satellite office there to come up with a new watch design. Your team consists of the following members: • 1 Project Manager • 1 Cost Accountant • 3 Industrial Designers (1 in Chicago, 2 in Tokyo) • 3 Engineers (2 in Chicago, 1 in Tokyo) Your deliverable is due 6 months from today and it will be a design package which consists of a prototype of the new watch and accompanying research to show proof of concept. To ensure the quality associated with Watchez, we expect the team to follow our processes. Current technology: • Laptops/Desktops (Linux and Windows OS) • Video Teleconferencing • Telephones • IBM Lotus Notes for Email/Sametime Collaboration

  8. Oxford Writing Experts As part of a team at Oxford Writing Experts, you have been assigned to rewrite technical manuals for an air-conditioning company. The are two separate manuals now, one for consumers and the other for repairmen. The client has asked that you consolidate the two manuals into one that is far easier to digest. The graphics will remain as is, so it’s only the text that we will be revising.
