  2. PLUG THE GAP… • 12yr difference in life expectancy between East and West Wirral • Pilot project • Joined with Christ the King in Birkenhead

WHY? • Because this is where Jesus would be… • Love our neighbour… “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.” (Matt2 2535-36)

  4. THE STORY SO FAR… • We have met individually and as a big group • Challenged our ideas of ‘poverty’ – not just financial

  6. LONG TERM PLAN… • Wirral-wide summit planned Jan 2010 • Multiagency • ??Eden • ??take church to the people • Idea of shop on Duke Street

  7. PRAYER POINTS • For Christian families to move to Birkenhead and go to CTK • Finance – fabric/projects/ongoing costs/overheads • Energy – boundaries/limits/burnout/delegation

  8. PLEASE GET INVOLVED We would love more people to join in with this, now that the initial foundations have been laid
