  1. Finding Solutions ForEnvironmental Services To Implement

  2. The situation There are a number of worrying predictions of rising sea levels, increasing population numbers and high-temperature readings from organizations in every section of the globe. It has become too late to change direction or hope that that the planet will ‘correct’ itself in time or that technology will provide easier solutions for environmental services to implement.

  3. Inaction risks This graph showcases the change in global surface temperature relative to 1951-1980 average temperatures. Eighteen out of the nineteen warmest years have occurred since 2001, except for 1998. 2016 ranks as the warmest on record.

  4. Solution 1: Dealing with the existing carbon The above diagram depicts the generation of bioenergy from carbon capture. Carbon dioxide removal (CDR) is quickly establishing itself as a feasible for reducing greenhouse gases. CDR solutions offered by environmental services can include everything, from the very high-tech (sucking CO2 straight from the air) to the low-tech (smarter land management).

  5. Solution 2: Transitioning to a low carbon economy Environmental services should also focus on the best way to reduce the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere, which is limiting the amount unnecessarily released in the first place.

  6. Thank You
