  7. Leadership Theories Different situations require different approaches. A function is an action that must take place for a group to be effective. Leadership is the performance of acts that help the group complete its goals. Needed Function - Distributed actions Any member may become a leader by taking actions to help group complete goals Any leadership function may be fulfilled by different members with relevant behaviors.
