  2. “Receiving” Process • Account For The “Physical” Receipt Of Parts • Reconcile Physical Parts With Receiving Documents • Identify / Record Shortages & Overages • Identify / Record Damage • Facilitate The Next Step (“Stockkeeping”) By Placing “Received” Parts In Stockkeeping Assembly Zones

Assign Bin Locations – Can Be Done When “Ordering” • Assemble Cages, Totes, Loose Pieces, Documents In Common Receiving Area To Facilitate “Receiving” Process • Reconcile Cages, Totes, Loose Pieces With Shipping Documents • Identify/Record Overages, Shortages, Damage Accounting For Parts Receipts

Accounting For Parts Receipts • Group Parts By Zone (Fast, Regular, Bulk, Body, Special Order) – To Facilitate “Stockkeeping” Process • Posting / “Receipting” - Record Receipts, Backorders, Supersessions, Etc. in Inventory System • Stockkeeping – Placing Parts In Assigned Bin Locations • Vagrant Parts – Move To Assigned Bin Locations

  5. Accounting For Parts Receipts • Deleted Parts - Remove Bin Set-Ups • Claims Administration – Filing Over/Under Claims, Filing Transportation Loss/Damage Claims • Reconciliation – Reconcile Parts Invoice With Packing Slip / Reconcile Invoice With Statement
