  5. Who is the programme targeting? • Bolsover District Council • 75 apprentices • Chesterfield Borough Council • 30 apprentices • Three age groups • 16-18 • 18-24 • 25+

  6. 16-18 year olds NEET • Recruited via Connexions • BDC three cohorts of five • Jan 2010, Sept 2010 and Jan 2011 • Pre Apprenticeship Programme • Programme for 12 candidates • Confidence building • CVs • Interview skills • Interviews • Successful = Apprenticeship within BDC

  13. Where are we now? • Pre Apprenticeship Programme • Running for three weeks • Choice of positions six available ‘in house’ • Two recruitment days for 18-24 • Interviews took place this week • Excess of roles available
