  3. Celebrations • On this day, people visit their friends and relatives and exchange gifts. • They also have a big feast of food, drinks, and music. • A popular dish is the St. Basil’s cake.

  4. Location • Saint Basil’s Day is celebrated in Greece.

  5. Religious Affiliation • Saint Basil’s Day is linked to Christianity because they are Catholic.

  6. Symbols • Supernatural dove, often with a dove present • During Saint Basil’s Day, honey, olive branches, nuts, fresh fruit, and other symbols of happiness and wealth are present

  7. Traditions • Children sing carols • Farmers’ families take plates of seeds to the church for the priest to bless • Girls in Greece once ate something salty before going to bed because they believed it would help them dream about their future husband.
