  1. INSERT YOUR NAME on behalf of the PSTRN ORCHidopexy: does Earlier Surgery affect TesticulaRAtrophy?

  2. What we know! • Undescended testes are a risk factor for testicular cancer and reduced fertility. • Latest scientific evidence suggest that the earlier you correct them the better.

  3. Audit standards Consensus statement on undescended testes (UDT) • http://www.bapu.org.uk/udt-consensus-statement • Timing of surgery: 3-6 months of age now ideal 6-12 months of age is acceptable

  4. What we don’t know! • How early are we performing surgery for undescendedtestis following the latest BAPU guidance? • What are the early post-operative outcomes?

  5. Aims • To document age at referral and age at surgery • To establish testicular atrophy rate after unilateral orchidopexy for palpable testis • Follow-up for at least 6 months post-op

  6. Study details • Prospective audit over 3 months for operative data • Secure online data entry • As many centres as possible including international participation
