Hardware Status and Testing Overview for TulipPad Project as of September 9, 2011

This document provides a comprehensive status update on the hardware testing and risks associated with the TulipPad project as of September 9, 2011. Initial tests show that most functionalities, including the LCD, SIM card, keypad, WIFI, and audio loop, are operational. However, issues have been identified with the new LCD driver and certain components exceeding standby current limits. Further testing, including ESD tests and module evaluations, will continue with additional test samples available on September 21. Ongoing compliance certifications are also underway.

Hardware Status • Mockup PCB available and test & debug start • Test result: • Clock work normal • SIM card work normal • Keypad work normal • WIFI work normal • TP/LCD work normal( New driver LCD is not available yet) • Audio Loop work normal • ESD test • Test samples are available on 21th.Sep • Pre-test 8k and10K is NG,LCD and TP are failure

Hardware Status • Core system can performe at 900MHz. • DDR3 can running at 800MHz. • LCD pixel 1024x600 is going to be performed with support from Truly (schedule is TBD). • TP with full five touch work normal. • Power consume is normal in each status, but the standby current is 25mA exceed the standard . • WIFI/BLUETOOTH • WIFI supported in mode b g and n work normal. • BLUETOOTH work normal. • Battery Charge work normal in full charge mode( 1360mA). Battery uses C7S. BYD is applying for CE,UL certificate. • UTC time work normal. • EBOOK support • Main publish format is support include in (Epub ,PDF ,txt,fb2)

  7. Hardware Status • Multimedia • MP3 work normal. • H.264 decode work normal. • Full format video player support RMVB, mp4, mpg and mkv. • Accessory • Charger,USB cable are special components. • Headset common uses Alcatel STD . • Antenna evaluation from CNC (TCL) • Test data!???
